Vernon Lee Levine, Sr. Obituary (1937

Vernon Lee Levine, Sr., 78 of New Buffalo passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at West Woods of Bridgman. Vernon was born on September 25, 1937 to the late Adolph and Katherine Levine in Michigan City, IN. On Feb. 19, 1960 he married Caroline Levine at a ceremony in New Buffalo. Vernon enjoyed playing the accordion for everybody, building houses, cutting firewood, gardening and most of all, spending time with his family. He is survived by his children, Vernon John Levine, Jr. and Julia Lynn Levine; twin sister, Virginia; son in law, Dale Stanage; eight grandchildren, Sarah (Dave) Bram, Anthony Michael Kirksey, Jr., Michael Kirksey, Jr., Dustin Kirksey, Jeremy Michael Payne, Austin Levine, Kyle Levine, Kevin Levine and Gabriella Levine; great grandchildren, Tayler Bram, Cody Bram and Faith Payne; nephews, David Levine, Ronnie Levine, Tommy Levine, Danny Levine and many other nephews, nieces and cousins. Vernon was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Caroline; parents, Adolph and Katherine Levine; daughters, Tina Louise Kirksey-Levine and Anna Marie (Dale) Stanage-Levine; brothers, Bud, Kenny, Arnold and Al and sisters Norma and Darlene. Funeral service for Vernon will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Calvary Tabernacle, 606 N. Elm St., Three Oaks, MI. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 10- 11 am.
