Thelmer "Pete" Green Obituary (1935 - 2021)

Thelmer Dee Green "Pete", 86, of Dowagiac, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at home. He was born on January 31, 1935 to the late Sidney and Rosie (Nails) Green in Hayti, MO. On June 21, 1997 he married Estella May Riley in Benton Harbor. Pete loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He was especially proud of his big tomatoes. But his greatest love was his family. Pete is survived by his wife of 23 years, Estella; children, David, Robert, Barbara, Diane, Terry, Tonya and Rachel; sister, Dorothy; several grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Rosie; first wife, Shirley; Second wife, Karen; and brothers, James, Gene, and Elmer. Funeral service for Pete will be held at noon on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service from 10 am -12 pm.
