Tanner Blevins Obituary (1948

Tanner W. Blevins, 65, of Buchanan, MI, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Hospice Franciscan Communities of Michigan City. Tanner was born December 27, 1948 in Niles, MI to Harry and Martha (Smith) Blevins. He was a United States Navy Seabees Veteran and a graduate of Ferris State University. After working at Clark Equipment he owned and operated Blevins Trucking in Buchanan for many years. He is survived by three children: Erin Shipley of New Carlisle, IN, Jennifer Blevins of Dudley, NC, and Tanner J. Blevins of Cassopolis, MI, mother; Martha K. Blevins of Buchanan, MI, three brothers; Butler, Lloyd, and Neal (Leisa) Blevins all of Buchanan, MI, sister; Phyllis Blevins of Shirley, AR, and six grandchildren; Matthew, Kennedy, Jaxson, Adie, Tanner, and Dakota. He was a dearly loved Uncle of his nieces and nephews. Tanner is preceded in death by his father, Harry Blevins. A memorial service for Tanner will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 10 a.m. at Hoven Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Franciscan Communities of Michigan City.
