Sean Niven Obituary (1981 - 2024)

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Sean Niven on December 3rd, 2024. His journey on earth began in South Bend, IN, on November 15th, 1981, and what a journey it was! Sean was a loving, dedicated, loyal, and adventurous soul. Sean was a lifelong resident of the Michiana area, a place he cherished and proudly called home. He had a passion for gaming and was known for organizing spectacular firework shows for his family, always creating memorable moments. Sean also enjoyed hiking, listening to music, watching movies, and most of all, spending quality time with his beloved son, Cameron. His devotion to Notre Dame was unmatched, remaining a loyal fan through every victory and defeat, always cheering for the Fighting Irish with enthusiasm. Beyond his personal passions, Sean was dedicated to his work as a Medical Technician in the healthcare field. He found true purpose and fulfillment in helping everyone around him. Sean is survived by his loving family - his son, Cameron and Cameron's mother Amy, his parents, Terry and Janet Niven, his brothers Jason Niven and Joshua Niven (Emily), his sister Lisa Wentland (Seth) , his niece Sophia Niven, nephews Tyson, Sage, Quinn, and Bryce, his grandmother Shirley Davis, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was greeted in heaven by his grandparents Albert Davis, Beverly and Albert Niven. While we mourn Sean's early departure, we celebrate the life he lived and the love he shared. We encourage all who knew him to share their memories and photos of Sean on his memorial page as a tribute to his adventurous spirit and loving heart. His legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him. Visitation will be Saturday, December 14th 2024 at Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan, Michigan, 10 AM to Noon, and 1 PM to 3 PM with funeral service to follow at 3pm. Dinner will follow.
