Robert C. Srmek Sr. Obituary (1941 - 2019)

Robert C. Srmek Sr., of Galien, MI, passed away on April 22, 2019 in his home. Robert was born on March 3, 1941 to Elsie M. and William L. Srmek Sr. He is survived by his wife, Joyce M. Maxwell; children, Robert C. Srmek Jr, Renee L. (Floyd) Srmek-Sickling, William R. (Sarah) Srmek, Michael D. (Jena) Carpenter; brother, William (Mary) Srmek Jr; 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, William Sr and Elsie; and sister, Sandra A. Balthazor. He was employed at Clark Equipment until closing, and then a truck driver until his retirement. He was a meticulous person everything had a place and a way to be done and he would let you know. Robert enjoyed working in his yard and shop and was always busy doing something. He also enjoyed the casino and Hard Rock Cafe. He was an avid collector, mainly antiques. What was not always perfect was a treasure to him, as were the people around him. Robert welcomed everyone and was loved by all. There will be no services as his wishes were to be cremated.
