Phyllis Jean Mcfarland-Mead-Daily Obituary (1933 - 2018)

Phyllis Jean McFarland-Mead-Daily, 84, of Granger, IN, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at her home. She was born June 15, 1933 in South Bend, IN to the late Wayne and Virginia McFarland. On September 30, 1950, Phyllis married George Marvin Mead, whom preceded her in death April 4, 1975; together they had 6 children, Jaylynn Victory of Florence, AL, Rebecca (Paul) Morse of Granger, IN, Robert (Denise) Mead of Niles, MI, Sharon Paul of South Bend, IN, George (Dianna) Mead of South Bend, IN, and David (Lisa) Mead of Bridgman, MI; whom all survive her. She is also survived by her brother, Jack (Joyce) McFarland of Plymouth, IN, 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Phyllis retired from Bedix Corp. after 20 years. On July 21, 1979, Phyllis married David Daily. They lived in Buchanan for over 30 years. David preceded her in death November 8, 2007. She is also preceded by her brother, Gerald McFarland. She loved to do ceramics, gardening, dancing (Jitterbug), as well as watching birds. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home Inc, Buchanan.
