Miguel Angel Velez-Torres Obituary (1939 - 2019)

Miguel "Mike" "Pete" "Papi" Angel Velez-Torres, 79, of Niles, MI, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. He was born July 22, 1939 in Isabela, Puerto Rico to the late Filomeno and Geralda Velez. On January 28, 1994, he married Maura M. Morazan. Miguel is survived by his wife, Maura; son, Miguel A. (Wendy) Velez Jr., daughters, Miguelina Angela Velez, Queenie (Robert) Geralda Evans, Miriam ( Kenneth) Antonia Velez-Dixner, Andrea Maria Velez; step-sons, Pedro Castro Morazan; step-daughter, Ellie Gonzalz Morazan; grandchildren, Telesia, Antoine, Lance, Michael, Malena, Anthony, Rachael, Juliana, Mike, Josua; great-grandchildren, Bryanna, Gabryel, Cameron, Natylie, A.J., Gabriel, Gentry, Theo, Juliana, Evalyn, Tony, Yanessa; and many siblings, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Filomeno and Geralda. Visitation for Miguel will be held Friday, July 12, 2019 from 1 - 3 pm and 5 - 8 pm at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan, MI.
