Katie Lee Bunting Obituary (1927 - 2016)

Katie Lee Bunting, 88, of Benton Harbor passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at The Willows. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Refreshing Fountains, 175 S. Euclid Ave. with Noon visitation and 1 pm service. Final burial will be at North Shore Memory Gardens. Katie was born Dec. 18, 1927 in Mobile, AL she was the owner and operator of Bunting House of Flowers from 1972 till 2000. Katie married Charles Bunting Sr. in 1945 in Chicago from that union came two sons and three daughters. Survivors include two sons, Charles Bunting Jr. of CA, Kenneth (Sharon) Bunting of Atlanta, GA; three daughters, Connie (James) Joseph of East Lansing, Pattie Bunting and Marsha (Jerry) Cummings both of Benton Harbor; two brothers, Leslie Johnson and Sonny Johnson both of Chicago; 17 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 24 great-great grandchildren, 12 great-great-great grandchildren, 4 god children, and a host of friends and love ones. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Johnson; father, Ralph Hill; husband, Charles Sr.; and brother, Leroy Johnson.
