Joyce Elaine Stark Obituary (1933

Joyce Elaine Stark, 83 of Berrien Springs MI, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2016 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, MI with her God-child, Barbie Stover, by her side. Joyce was born to the late Henry and Lucille Schlutt of Baroda, MI. Norman (Tony) Stark took her as his bride on May 5, 1951. Joyce worked at Berrien General Hospital as head cook in the 70's. then she took classes at Andrews University to become the Head Dietician for Berrien County Juvenile Center in Berrien Center, MI until she retired. Survivors, left to cherish her memory, are her sons Robert Stark and friend Becky Foster of Baroda, Richard Stark of Berrien Springs, whom has been her right hand for 10 years, grandchildren, Bobby Stark, Kari (Dan) Clayton of Berrien Springs, great- grandchildren Emma Clayton, Jesse Stark and George Stark; sister-in-laws, Dorothy Perkey of Benton Harbor and Donna Valzonis of Berrien Springs. She also leaves behind her furry friend Mittse, her beloved cat. She is proceeded in death by her parents, her daughters Diane Stark ,Sandy Stark, her husband Norman (Tony) Stark, her sister, Debbie Schlutt, her companion, James Harner of 22 years. In accordance with Joyce's wishes, cremation has taken place. Those wishing to make memorial donations may do so to Hospice at Home of St, Joseph, Michigan or your choice.
