Gaylon William "Gator" Maggert Obituary (1944

Gaylon William "Gator" Maggert, 73, of Buchanan, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles after a long battle from an illness. He was born on May 11, 1944 in Niles to the Edward and Genevieve (Lesniak) Maggert. On April 27, 1968, he married Marjorie Guthrie at a ceremony in Buchanan. Gator is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marjorie; daughters, Peggy (Richard) Baughman, Pauline (James) Lodholtz, Gail Sue Pendergrass; son, Edward Maggert; brother, Samuel Maggert; sisters, Ida (Robert) Griefer, Betty Holmes, Rose (Bruce) Collins; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Genevieve; brother, Roscoe; and sister, Carolyn. Visitation for Gator will be held from 4 - 6 pm on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Cremation will follow. Online condolences may be made at www.hovenfunerals.com.
