Floweree Wright Obituary (1919

Floweree Wright, 96, of South Bend, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at her home. Floweree was born on May 25, 1919 in Yokena, Mississippi to Milford and Ruth. She was a loving devoted house wife who had a passion for serving, which lead to decades of helping family at home as well as her family at Saints Memorial Church of God in Christ. This came naturally to her and she did it because she wanted to and without complaint. Floweree was a proud woman with a keen memory. 96 years later she could remember many intricate details about her life and if you took a moment to listen to the stories that she shared you felt as though you were there, growing up with her, living vicariously through her every memory. She would speak with passion recalling events of tragedy as well as happiness, no matter what the situation was, she owned her truth and was appreciative of who she had been in the past to who she had become after welcoming our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ into her heart and soul. She was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ's love and the beauty, as well as the peace that would await her after passing. She is survived by her daughters, Lutichia Baker and Ruthie M. Brady; grandchildren, Jamie Brady, Henry Baker Jr., Albert Baker and Gwendolyn Brady; great grandchildren, Nicole Washington, Demico Suggs, Anthony Brady, Danielle Burroughs and Deja Sturdivant and many great-great grandchildren. Floweree was preceded in death by her husband Lee Albert Wright; daughter, Lillie B. Wright; grandchildren, Roland Brady, Robbin Baker, Cortez Baker and great grandson, Tremaine Walker. Funeral Services for Floweree will be held at 11 am on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Saints Memorial Church of God in Christ, 321 Liberty St., South Bend, IN. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11 am. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan.
