Ethel Louise Harris-Williams Obituary (1941 - 2014)

Ethel Louise Harris-Williams, 72, of Buchanan, MI was called home on Friday, June 13th, 2014 at Lakeland Hospital in Niles following an illness. Ethel was born on July 21, 1941 in Jackson, MS to Lee Jones and Sarah Harris-Reed. In 1972, she began what would be a very long and happy relationship with the sport of bowling. Ethel loved going to the casino with her husband. She leaves to cherish her loving husband of 22 years, Henry Williams Jr; four sons, Frank G. Henry, John F. (Arlene Edison) Henry, Herbert Henry, and Howard Harris Jr; one daughter, Priscilla (James Sr.) Harris-Vincent; four sisters, Ethel (Jerry Walker) Pearl, Junita Henry, Nancy Henry, and Hattie Lewis; stepsister, Mary Reed; two stepbrothers, Charles (Linda) Reed and Jay Reed; 34 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Sarah; her father, Ernest Henry Sr.; stepfathers, John Perry, and Charles Reed; sisters, Birdie Miles, Edna Ruth Powell, and Minnie Walton; brothers, Ernest Henry Jr., Joe Henry, and William Henry. Funeral services for Ethel will be Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Second Baptist Church, 600 Donald Adkins Dr., Benton Harbor, MI.
