Ernest Eugene VanKirk Jr., 54, of Decatur, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at his home. He was born on August 10, 1962 in Niles to Sylvia and Ernest E. VanKirk, Sr. Ernest is survived by his wife, Georgina Eiswald; children, Ernest E. VanKirk III, Michael VanKirk, Ellen VanKirk; mother, Sylvia VanKirk; brother, Jeff VanKirk; sister, LuAnn (Rod) Purucker; grandchildren, Dylan VanKirk, Elaina VanKirk, and Robert VanKirk. He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Sr. Visitation will take place Monday, March 6, at 4 until 6 pm. Followed by a service at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan.
