Derik Weber Obituary (1974 - 2024) - Benton Harbor, Michigan

Derik Paul Weber, 49 of Sister Lakes, passed away on June 5, 2024, at home with his family by his side. Derik was born on June 7, 1974, to the late Leonard and Erika (Jahnke) Weber in Niles, Michigan. After graduating from Dowagiac Union High School in 1993, Derik achieved his associate’s degree from Kalamazoo Valley community College and his bachelor’s degree in engineering from Ferris State University. Derik worked traveling the country for almost 30 years in robotics. On the rare occasion he had free time, he enjoyed working on projects, conjuring up new recipes and BBQing with his family. His loved ones will always remember his authentic kindness, quickness to laugh, and eagerness to lend a helping hand. Derik is deeply missed by his two sisters, Erika Parker of Dowagiac, and Trina (Michael) Hodge of Sister Lakes; niece and nephews, Nick Swank, Zach Swank, Katie Swank, and Colin Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Erika Weber. We encourage those who knew and loved Derik to share their memories and upload photos on the memorial page.
