Deardra Faye Thompson Obituary (1965

Deardra Faye Thompson, 53, of Buchanan, MI, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at her home. She was born April 17, 1965 in Benton Harbor, MI to James and Barbara Coleman. Faye was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School Class of 1983. She put on Christ at an early age, and later recommitted her life to Christ. She was very active with activities at her home church, New Beginning Ministries, where she was an Elder and a faithful member. She loved to attend women's retreats, cook, and travel with her husband. Faye is survived by her husband, Christopher Thompson Sr.; mother, Barbara Coleman; children, Asha Vaughn, Amos Dion Thompson, Christopher Thompson Jr, Corey Thompson, Calvin Thompson, Candi Thompson; brother, Gerald Polk; sisters, Patricia Zahui, Patra Coleman, Adrienne Coleman; grandchildren, Julia, Chrishona, Jayquan, Christopher III, Camari, Asiya, Keegan, and Chrisiyah; and a host of relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, James Coleman; sister, Clinda Sanders; maternal grandparents, George and Sallie Douglas; paternal grandparents, Amos and Exie Coleman. Visitation for Faye will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Hoven Funeral Home Inc, Buchanan. Funeral service will be at 11 am on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 601 Ferry St, Niles, MI 49120 with Pastor Raymond Massey of New Beginnings Ministries, Niles, officiating. Burial will be at 11 am on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Crystal Springs Cemetery, Benton Harbor, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan.
