Cleveland Lonnie Wilson, Sr., 94, of Carlock, IL, formerly of Dowagiac, MI, passed away on November 27, 2012 in Bloomington, IL. He was born October 22, 1918 in Ocala, Florida to Ed & Ada (Blackmon) Wilson. He was a US Army veteran and a door repairman at Jessup Door Company. On July 12, 1959, in Cassopolis, MI, he married Mary (Vaughan) Wilson, who preceded him in death. Preceding him in death is his wife Mary Wilson; parents, Ed & Ada Wilson; son, James Wilson; brothers, James & Solomon Wilson; and sisters, Alice Williams and Mariaha Wilson. Surviving family includes his children, Cleveland (Carolyn) Wilson, Jr. of Dowagiac, MI, Charlie (Robbie) Wilson of Nashville, TN, Ronny Wilson of Lansing, MI, Martha (Kevin) Williams of Southfield, MI, Pearlie Love of South Bend, IN and Ada (James) Fenton of Carlock, IL; 27 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, December 7, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church - 100 Miller Street, Dowagiac, MI, with Pastor Tonnie Blackamore officiating. Visitation will be held two hours before the service at the church. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
