Charles Singleton, Jr., 81, of Dowagiac, passed away August 19, 2013, at his home. Charles was born on March 28, 1932, in South Bend, IN, to Charles and Lovena (Phillips) Singleton, Sr. He was a United States Air Force veteran. Charles is survived by sons: Kevin Singleton, Mark Singleton, and Brian Singleton; brothers: Walter Singleton, William Singleton, Jack Singleton, Ron Singleton, and Ed Singleton; sisters: Dorothy Grenert, Delores Helfman, Rose Grenert, and Clara Riggs; grandchildren: Cheryl Friske, Christopher Singleton, and Christina Singleton; great grandchildren: Taylor Friske and Zachary Friske. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Kenneth and Lester Singleton; sisters: Ruby Jones, Shirley Brown, and Alice Cox. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 24, 2013 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., with service to follow at 12:00 p.m., at Hoven Funeral Home, Inc. in Buchanan, MI.
