August Fritz Jr, 73, peacefully passed away Thursday, November 24th, 2016, at his home in Bridgman, Michigan. Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan, Michigan. August was born on August 25th, 1943, in Baroda, Michigan to August Sr. and Lennie Fritz. He was a long time resident of the Baroda area. He enjoyed going to flea markets and local festivities. August was employed by Dave Pagel Produce in Berrien Springs, Michigan before he retired. Family was very important to him and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to him. August was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and grandfather who will always be remembered, missed and loved by many. August is survived by his wife, Sharon; his daughter Pamela Harding of Stevensville, his granddaughter Rebecca (Juan) Suarez-Marquez of Stevensville; his brother Gerald (Wilma) Fritz of Missouri; his sister Shirley Craft of Baroda; his great-grandchildren Abrianna and Juan Jose "JJ" Suarez-Marquez, Samuel Ruiz Jr. all of Stevensville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. August was preceded in his death by his parents August Sr. and Lennie Fritz; his sister Norma Schrofield; his brother Carl Fritz; and his grandson Joseph P.
